Dear Nettle Families,

I am excited to introduce myself as the new Principal of Nettle Middle School. I am proud to be joining the Nettle community and I am excited to meet all of the students on August 27th for the first day of school!

As both a teacher and an administrator I have always believed that education requires a multi-pronged approach where both academic success and emotional wellness are necessary for all students to thrive. I believe in educating the whole child so that they grow in their intellect and in their character. My goal as a member of the school community is to balance care and compassion with high educational standards and academic rigor. As a school we spend many hours of the day with our students and become a large part of their lives. I look forward to collaborating with the strong network of teachers, counselors, administrators, family, and community members that support our students in reaching their highest potential.

My core belief in leadership is rooted in a willingness and dedication to listen, collaborate, and take action. I am eager to hear what makes you proud have a student at the Nettle, as well as any questions or concerns you may have about the Nettle Middle School experience. Back to School Night will be on Tuesday, August 27th from 5:00pm to 6:30pm. The PTO will also be hosting a Meet the Principal Night on August 20th 5:30pm-6:30pm in the Nettle Library, so please stop by to say hello! In the meantime please feel free to reach out via e-mail or phone.
