Dear Parents and Guardians,

We recently became aware of a rumor among some students regarding a potential safety issue at Nettle School. While at this time, we have no reason to believe the rumor is credible, we are taking it seriously and working with the Haverhill Police Department to help us look into the matter.

Please rest assured that the safety of our students and staff is our top priority. We are working diligently to gather more information and will keep you updated as we learn more. We are aware of the recent threats in other surrounding school communities and are taking these rumors seriously now; again, there is no credible threat to Nettle School.

Currently, students are safe in classes, and instruction is uninterrupted. Haverhill Police Department will remain on-site throughout the day. When we have updates, we will reach out to you directly.

In the meantime, we encourage you to speak with your children this evening about the importance of sharing any concerns directly with school staff so that we can address them promptly and appropriately.
