The Nettle Middle School Community will nurture the development of responsible, respectful, and thoughtful citizens for life in an increasingly independent global society. We will create safe learning environments in which students are challenged to explore, create, make decisions, and actively participate in and be accountable for their learning.

Nettle Student Orientation
Cohort A (Monday/Tuesday) will have orientation dates in person at Nettle as follows:
Last names A-L: Monday, September 21st and Monday, September 28th
Last names M-Z: Tuesday, September 22nd and Tuesday, September 29th
Cohort B (Thursday/Friday) will have orientation dates in person at Nettle as follows:
Last names A-L: Thursday, September 24th and Thursday, October 1st
Last names M-Z: Friday, September 25th and Friday, October 2nd
Cohort C will be contacted by phone with specific orientation instructions.
On these days we will talk about health and safety, logging in to Chromebooks and programs, and new expectations around the building. It will run as a usual school day 8:30am-2:45pm, breakfast and lunch will be provided, buses will run, and students should bring their school Chromebook.
Students should start logging onto Google Classroom for learning starting September 16th until hybrid fully begins on October 5th.

Learning will begin online for all students on Wednesday, September 16th. Between September 21st and October 2nd students in the hybrid model (Cohorts A, B, and C) will be invited on specific days in smaller groups for school re-orientation including learning new health and safety protocols. All hybrid model students will begin their hybrid schedule on October 5th. More details about specific re-orientation days will be coming out soon.

Anyone that did not get a Chromebook in the spring can come pick one up next week – one per student. Chromebook pick-up will be at the back entrance of Nettle Middle School (off of Golden Hill Ave.).
